Rexnord Aerospace Opening a New Facility in Chihuahua, MX

We are thrilled to announce that Rexnord Aerospace has begun the process of expanding our operations by opening a production facility in Chihuahua, Mexico. The new facility, which will bring an additional 125,000 sq feet to our operations, will support the significant growth we are experiencing as a result of an increase in product demand and overall recovery of the aerospace market. The state-of-the-art facility keeps sustainability at the forefront by incorporating solar energy to support production needs and other energy efficiency features to drive our net zero carbon footprint goals.
 

Rexnord Aerospace has invested considerably in our aftermarket capabilities during the pandemic by adding more than 200 new PMAs/DERs, significantly expanding our operations and repair capabilities, reducing our cycle times and building ahead inventory for the market return. We are eager to show you what we can do to help lower your cost of maintenance and improve your cycle times.

We are proud to announce that a significant investment we’ve made in our future will begin to show itself in 2018.
At our current facility in Downers Grove, IL (USA), we are building a brand new, state-of-the-art 248,000-square-foot manufacturing facility to serve as our new Rexnord Aerospace Headquarters.
 

Do you know the origin of the inch unit? Cutting a very long story short, it comes from the Old Engilsh ynce and was equivalent ot one twelfth of a Roman foot. During the 12^nd century the King David of Scotland defined it as the average of the thumb breadth at the base of the nail of three men of different heights. Averaging the dimension of three men would give the measurement more consistency. The actual definition of the dimension evolved with time, until it has been officially defined as 2,54 cm back in 1959 as a result of a consensus of all the countries using imperial units.
 

Rexnord Aerospace products are applied to many different aircraft, from fighter planes to commercial transports. Maintenance of these products requires proper tooling. Buying high quality bearing products is only the first step to achieve a complete satisfaction on bearing applications. Installation is the crucial step that allows bearing design capabilities to be transformed into in service performance by the user.

 

Rolls-Royce announced that it has set a new record for the world’s most powerful aerospace gearbox. The Power Gearbox will be part of the manufacturer's upcoming UltraFan engine.

​October is a busy month for Rexnord Aerospace! We’re literally travelling all over the world for trade shows, conferences and missions.

In march 2017, the Rexnord Aerospace Team had the pleasure to participate in Heli-Expo and to present Rexnord products for helicopter application, along with our design capabilities. It was a great opportunity to learn about new trends in rotocraft technologies. Heli-Expo 2017 revealed future global helicopter concepts from major manufactures.
